The first festival of winter is the one that marks its beginning. Winter can be viewed as cold and dark but at the solstice life begins the cycle of renewal. Days become longer and things sleep and reflect for the coming of spring.

the only thing about it that seems off is the way the lantern is hanging... it seems against the natural flow of gravity or something. I love all the animals.
